Below you will find frequently asked questions and the answers to these questions.
This is the most asked question of all time I guess. Did you really paint this?
Well I actually got started in the automotive end of painting when I was a little kid helping my father in the shop of his in our back yard. My father was an automotive paint and body man from the old school and taught me a great deal about the paint and body business. I guess the most important thing he taught me about this business was the preparation of a paint job is 1,000,0000 times more important than the finish coats. It is like the foundation of a big building with out the best foundation the building will tumble.
As for the Airbrush and computer cut vinyl and graphics part of my business I got an airbrush from my sister in law in 1988. She got it from Fingerhut or somewhere and gave it to me ........Well little did I know but I was hooked .But when I went to ask our local airbrush artist about it they clammed up. So I am all self taught in this tool and have always answered all questions to which I have been asked by anyone looking to get into this field. I am very thankful for all the knowledge that other artist have written in articles and books from which I learned a lot.
Just remember..........If you want to learn it there are those who will help.
Well without a dought my mentor would be my dad not only did he teach me all he knew about the automotive paint field but he taught me that if ya think about it you can figure a way with your basic common sense. And if you treat everyone fair and honest and give everyone a fair shake in the end you will come out on top.
As for the airbrush it would have to be Mr. Dru Blair. Dru is a local artist who took his talent to the top of the Airbrush field. He has done and still does some of the most amazing airbrush and technical illustration work known to this planet...... And without a dought is tops in his field at what he does.(you can see his amazing work at his website which is on my links page) I guess looking at his work has been my inspiration to always strive to be better.
Well the main reason I don't travel is when I got started I had 2 kids growing up and my wife was in management at her place of employment. We do some events doing t-shirts and stuff but I have always wanted to travel to bike meets and car shows and stuff and hope to do more of this now that the kids have graduated from high school.
Well I guess my favorite thing to paint on is motorcycles. And my favorite thing to paint is animals.
